Stacks & Stacks of Colors!
Combine stacks of your favorite colors for some eye-popping art. The Crayola Total Tools™ Ultimate Cutter™ device makes cutting easy and fun!
1. This project is all about combining shapes and colors into a dramatic look you like. Our example uses "hot" colors (red, orange, and yellow) and "cool" colors (green, blue, and purple) in different stacks.
2. Use your Crayola Ultimate Cutter™ tool to make large diamonds and triangles—or any shapes you like. Attach them to black paper with self-stick pop dots.
3. Cut smaller versions of the same shapes in different colors, and attach again with dots. Keep cutting smaller and smaller shapes and attaching them with dots until your stacks see just right.
4. Whatever shapes you choose, your composition will be eye-popping because of the black space that shows between the shapes. Experiment with different color effects!
Adult supervision is required for any arts & crafts project. Observe children closely and intervene as necessary to prevent potential safety problems and ensure appropriate use of arts and crafts materials. Some craft items, particularly beads and buttons, are potential choking hazards for young children. Avoid use of such small parts with children younger than 3 years. Craft items such as scissors, push pins and chenille sticks may have sharp points or edges. Avoid use of materials with sharp points by children younger than 4 years. Read all manufacturers' safety warnings before using arts and craft supplies.
Scissors—ATTENTION: The cutting edges of scissors are sharp and care should be taken whenever cutting or handling. Blunt-tip scissors should be used only by children 4 years and older. Pointed-tip scissors should be used only by children 6 years and older.
Sponges and Foam—Sponges, foam, and other expandable materials should not be used with children 3 years old and younger.
