Stacks of Hats & Caps

Why

"Caps…Caps for sale!" Can you hear the peddler calling? Capture the fun in this whimsical folktale about a peddler, his caps, and mischievous monkeys.

Steps

1. Read Caps for Sale. What happens to all the caps the peddler has for sale? With Crayola Twistables®, color a country scene on paper.

2. On separate paper, draw a peddler with Crayola Erasable Colored Pencils. If you change your mind or make a mistake, just erase and start again.

3. Color the peddler with Twistables. Cut him out with Crayola Scissors. Use a Crayola Glue Stick to stick him on your background.

4. Draw and color a whole pile of caps and hats. Cut them out. Glue them in a large stack on the peddler’s head—or spread them on the ground where the monkeys threw them.
