Sunset Scene in the Harbor

Why

Just beachy! Smell the salt air as you look over the harbor at sunset—or is it sunrise? Create a memorable 3-D scene.

Steps

1. Remember the beautiful colors of a sunset you’ve seen? Bring that memory to life with Crayola True to Life™ Crayon and Marker colors!

2. Cover your craft area with newspaper. Use True to Life Markers to color the background for a sunset scene on watercolor paper. Vary the colors and lines by twisting and turning the tri-color tip markers while you draw. Use a damp sponge to blend the colors for a realistic, watercolor look. Air-dry.

3. Layer on the color! Add to the backdrop with True to Life Crayons and Markers. Increase the depth and dimension of your picture with additional layers of color.

4. Color and cut construction paper to represent clouds, sun, surf, sails, or any other elements in your sunset memory. Use glue and self-adhesive foam dots to stick the pieces to the picture. Vary the height of the dots to give the landscape a 3-D look. Sit back and enjoy the view!
