Around the world, grownups and children alike share memories. How? Often with a traditional cup of tea! Who will join you for a relaxing moment?
1. Does your family drink tea? Perhaps you remember sipping tea with someone you cherished. Maybe you drink tea in a cup without handles. Or central Asian family members toss away leaves in the cup’s bottom. Find out about the worlds’ diverse traditions and rituals for preparing and drinking tea.
2. Savor the warmth on your fingers and the steam tickling your nose--record a favorite tea-drinking memory with someone you love! Sketch a teapot, cup, saucer, creamer, and/or sugar bowl on paper with Crayola® Erasable Colored Pencils. If you change your mind, just erase!
3. Color the tea service with Crayola Gel Markers. Blend colors to give the pieces dimension. Cut out the tea service with Crayola Scissors.
4. Decorate a relaxing setting for your sip of tea. Draw wallpaper in your parlor or a kitchen nook, or shady trees and flowers if you were outdoors. Illustrate a tablecloth to match the season and occasion.
5. Use Crayola Glue Sticks to place your tea service on the table setting. Add inviting steam with Crayola Glitter Glue. Air-dry the glue. Brew a nice pot of tea to sip together!
