Tongue Twisters
Twist your tongue and your art! Illustrate a favorite tongue twister with Crayola® Twistables™.
1. What is your favorite tongue twister? Everyone knows about Peter Piper and Sally's seashells. Do you have another tongue twister that you really love? Or can you create an original one?
2. Recite your tongue twister to a friend or family member. Ask them to tell a different one to you.
3. On paper, use Crayola Twistables to write the words to a tongue twister around the outer margins. Illustrate the tongue twister on the inner part of the page with the Twistables. Draw pictures that remind you of the poem.
4. Cover your art area with recycled newspaper. Use Crayola Watercolors and a Crayola Watercolor Brush to add a wash of color to your illustration. Paint right over your crayon drawing. The waxy Twistables will resist the paint. Watercolor hues will add an extra layer of color to your tongue twister. Dry.
5. Repeat your tongue twister while you twist your paper around. How fast can you go?
