Vacation Take-Along Pack

Why

Bring your creativity with you on vacation or wherever you go! Create these fun projects to travel in style and bring the artist in you on the road!

Steps

1. Travel Tote. To make a travel tote, decorate a 100% cotton tote bag with Crayola Fabric Markers. For best results, place paper underneath the drawing area to prevent bleed through. You can draw your destination, a picture of yourself traveling, or whatever puts you in a summer holiday mood! Draw your design, making sure you saturate the cloth. When you are finished, ask an adult to iron your design. Follow package directions.

2. If you like, glue on decorative craft items for a little extra tote-bag pizzazz! Air-dry the glue.

3. Art Kit. Make an art kit for the road! Color a wooden box with Crayola True to Life™ Crayons. Embellish the box with foam and ribbon. Put crayons, colored pencils, and other art supplies inside. You can create art on the go!

4. Photo Album. Be prepared to keep your vacation pictures in a jazzy photo album! Glue pieces of Crayola Color Surge™ Paper, decorated with Color Surge Markers, on a plain foam photo album. Add foam pieces or letters and Glitter Glue to make it really your own. Air-dry the glue.

5. Pack all your crafts into the tote bag and enjoy your take-along pack while you are away! For more vacation-related items, see Memorable Times Together on Crayola.com.

Small Parts— WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD—Small parts. Not for children under 3 years.

Adult Assistance is required for this arts & crafts project.

Scissors—ATTENTION: The cutting edges of scissors are sharp and care should be taken whenever cutting or handling. Blunt-tip scissors should be used only by children 4 years and older. Pointed-tip scissors should be used only by children 6 years and older.

String-Like Materials—Includes string, raffia, lacing, yarn, ribbon, and other similar material. Children 3 years and younger should not be given any string-like material that is longer than 12 inches. Close adult supervision is essential whenever children use string-like material. When crafts are to be worn around the necks of children 8 years and younger, attach the ends of the “string-like material” with clear adhesive tape, which allows easy release of the bond if the craft becomes entangled or caught on equipment. For children older than 8 years, the ends of the “string-like material” may be tied and knotted.
