Watermelon Picnic Sign
A big juicy slice of watermelon is a sure sign of warm weather! Create a mouth-watering welcome banner and matching party invitations.
1. For party invitations, fold paper in half and in half again to form a card. Draw a slice of watermelon with Crayola® Erasable Colored Pencils (wrap it around the front and back if you like). With Crayola Washable Markers, color the rind in shades of green. Color the fruit bright pink.
2. Draw black watermelon seeds to form words for your party welcome. Add Crayola Glitter Glue to make your invitation even more inviting. Dry.
3. Open your card. Write an invitation to your party. Include the date, time, place, and how to RSVP!
4. To make a yard sign, draw a large slice of watermelon on a big piece of paper. Color in the rind and the fruit to match your invitations. Spell out a welcome message by drawing black seeds. Add glitter glue for sparkle. Dry.
5. Cut out the watermelon with Crayola Scissors. Trace around it on cardboard. Cut out the cardboard watermelon. Glue the two pieces together with Crayola School Glue. Glue watermelon to a dowel stick. Hope for a sunny day!
