Wish Gift Box

Why

Friends draw what they wish they could bring as a gift to the birthday child-or for any occasion. What a wonderful party keepsake!

Steps

1. Before your party, wrap a large box in colorful gift wrap paper.

2. Provide your party guests with Crayola® Washable Markers and paper. Invite them to draw what they would give to you--the honored guest--if any gift was possible. Think of creative, imaginary wishes.

3. Cut out your wish drawings with Crayola Scissors.

4. To play a memory game, your friends sit in a circle holding their wishes. Pass the wrapped box around the circle with a Crayola Glue Stick. Each child recites the following while attaching a wish drawing to the box: "Wishes, Wishes, Birthday wishes, What do we wish for you?" Each child says the name of each wish drawing already glued on the box, and adds his or her own wish at the end of the list. Continue passing the box so each child has a turn.

Read all manufacturers' safety warnings before using arts and craft supplies.

Scissors—ATTENTION: The cutting edges of scissors are sharp and care should be taken whenever cutting or handling. Blunt-tip scissors should be used only by children 4 years and older. Pointed-tip scissors should be used only by children 6 years and older.
