Filtery, Fluttery Butterflies craft

Watch butterflies flutter outdoors, then make your own with coffee filters.

  • 1.

    Butterflies' dazzling colors twist and turn. We can't touch these fragile creatures, but you can make one for a decoration.

  • 2.

    Cover your art area with newspaper. Use your Crayola® Paint Brush to wet a coffee filter. Paint the filter with Crayola Washable Watercolors. The colors will blend and mix into beautiful patterns. Decorate a spring clothespin with the paint, too. Air dry.

  • 3.

    Gather your coffee filter together in the middle. Hold it together with the clothespin.

  • 4.

    Curl a long twist tie to look like antennae. Twist it around the clothespin.
