What kinds of hats will people wear in the future? Think up your own new shapes and decorative designs with these quick crayon-rubbing toppers.
1.
Remove the paper wrappers from Crayola® Metallic FX Crayons.
2.
Find several items with interesting textures, such as brick walls, corrugated cardboard, or rubber kitchen mats. Lay a large sheet of construction paper on top of a texture. Rub with the side of the crayon. The texture will appear on the paper in color. Make as many different crayon rubbings as you would like.
3.
Write words or outline shapes with crayon to highlight the textures.
4.
Overlap the corners of the paper to form a cone-shaped hat that fits your head. Seal inside the seam with clear adhesive tape.
