Games for the Road craft

How do your entertain yourself on a long or short trip? Play games with new technology—Crayola® Erasable Colored Pencils on a personalized, portable clipboard!

  • 1.

    How much time do you spend traveling to and from school? How about going to visit relatives? Or running errands with your family? Traveling, or waiting for a medical appointment, is a perfect time to play games and write notes. This sturdy cardboard clipboard will keep you entertained for hours of traveling fun.

  • 2.

    Collect at least four heavy, large cardboard pieces, such as the ones on the bottom of pads of paper. Choose all the same big size.

  • 3.

    Cover one side of each piece of cardboard with Crayola School Glue. Pile layers on top of each other. Line up the edges. Place the pile under a heavy weight to air-dry. Big dictionaries work great!

  • 4.

    Decorate the edges and back of your clipboard with Crayola Erasable Colored Pencils. If you change your mind about a design, just erase and start again!

  • 5.

    What games do you like to play with a friend? What are your favorite solitaire games? Draw a game on the front of the board. You could play Make a Box (by connecting dots one line at a time) or Tic-Tac-Toe. Word games are perfect, too! After you finish a game, just erase and start another round. Or play an entirely different game.

    Want to write letters or save your drawings? Add a binder clip to attach papers to your personalized clipboard. Take it along for good times wherever you go!
