Ghost Walk—Who’s Afraid of the Night? craft

Why wait for once-a-year Trick or Treat? Create a fun-filled, scary ghost walk with your friends. Spring and summer nights will never be the same!

  • 1.

With an adult, choose a safe outdoor area to design your ghost walk. Be creative and build on the ideas shown in the picture to make your Ghost Walk unique—and as s-s-s-cary as you like!

  • 2.

Use Crayola Sidewalk Chalk to plan your course. Make wavy and straight lines, change colors when you like, and mark a long, winding path.

  • 3.

Decorate your ghost walk with frightening pictures such as monster hands, RIP gravestones, spooky cats, ghosts, and monsters. Add scary messages such as "Beware! Go Back While You Can!" and "Last Chance!"

  • 4.

Think about possible sound effects or activities to keep people on the Ghost Walk wondering what might come next! Ask them to howl at the moon, for example. Or plan for someone in costume to wait along the path and jump out with a shriek!

  • 5.

When your Ghost Walk is ready, wait for evening. Do your friends and family dare take the walk?
