Take charge of your room! Create a bold, colorful door sign with the Crayola Neon Color Explosion® Marker and Paper System.
1.
Fold a piece of colorful Crayola Neon Color Explosion® Paper lengthwise along two sides to create a three-sided, open box. Fold another piece the same way. Slide and tape the pieces together to form a box.
2.
To make a door on one side of the box, cut two lines to form a flap. Cut to about an inch (3 cm) from the bottom. Fold the flap down to open it. Cut another piece of Neon Color Explosion Paper to fit inside the box to create a base that lines up with the bottom of the door. Fold the paper into a shoebox-lid shape, insert, and tape in place.
3.
Cut out a roof for your sign holder. It can be curved, pointed, scalloped, or whatever you prefer. Attach the roof with tape.
4.
Decorate the outside of your sign holder with brilliant Neon Color Explosion Markers. Use different marker tips and combine colors for fabulous effects.
5.
Cut out 3-D decorations for your sign, such as flowers. Fold a paper strip for a ring pull. Decorate the embellishments with Neon Color Explosion Markers. Attach to the sign holder with self-adhesive foam dots.
6.
Cut pieces of Neon Color Explosion Paper to write messages that fit inside the sign box. Use Neon Color Explosion Markers to create signs such as "Come on in!" Place messages inside the box.
7.
Twist two or more colors of chenille sticks to form a handle. Have an adult poke two holes in the roof. Insert the twisted chenille sticks into the roof and fold the ends to hold them in place. Hang from your door to welcome visitors or ask for privacy!
