Presto Dots Initial Clips craft

Organize your family’s papers and hang reminders, photos, and artwork with colorful clips created using Crayola Model Magic and Presto Dots tools!

  • 1.

    An initial is the first letter in each word of a person’s name.

  • 2.

    Use a Crayola Marker to draw the shape of the first letter of your name on a piece of recycled cardboard (from a cereal box or other empty food package).

  • 3.

    Use Crayola Scissors to cut out the letter shape. An adult can help with cutting.

  • 4.

    Press Crayola Model Magic flat. If you like, use a Crayola Marker to roll over it.

  • 5.

    Cover cardboard with flattened Model Magic, pressing, stretching, and pinching the modeling compound around the cardboard until it is covered and smooth.

  • 6.

    USE THE PRESTO DOT TOOL! Roll out a flat, even layer of Model Magic that’s almost as thick as the base of the Presto Dot Tool. TIP: Marble two Model Magic colors by kneading and squeezing them for a very cool effect! Push the Dot tool straight down to

    Cover the letter with Presto Dots! Dry overnight.

  • 8.

    Glue a clothespin on the back of the letter using Crayola School Glue. You can also attach a magnet if you like. Use a self-stick magnet or attach with glue.

  • 9.

    Make one letter for each member of your family. Sort and organize the mail and papers that sometimes collect on kitchen tables and countertops.
