This adorable Santa is a useful decoration! Kids create this holder for Christmas cards, candy canes, and holiday treasures.
Cover your work area with recycled newspaper. Paint the inside and rim of a heavy paper plate red with Crayola® Washable Kid's Paint and Paint Brushes. Paint a piece of paper half red and half brown or black. Dry.
Ask an adult to cut a heavy paper plate in half with Crayola Scissors. This is Santa's face, so paint the back of it if you like.
Use Crayola School Glue to attach the half plate to the painted plate to form a pocket.
On the back of the painted paper, use Crayola Colored Pencils to sketch Santa's eyes, nose, and a mouth. Cut them out and glue them on the pocket. Glue on cotton balls for Santa's hair, beard, and mustache.
Punch a hole at the top. Pull ribbon or yarn through the hole for hanging.
