Sparkling Princess Crown

Sparkling Princess Crown craft

You are a shining star on your birthday! A magic fairy! A dazzling princess! Be anything you like when you wear this brilliant crown.

  • 1.

Using a Crayola White Color Explosion™ Marker, draw lively designs on White Color Explosion paper. Outline shapes such as gems or stars with the black marker if you wish. Cut the decorated paper into thin strips, large stars, or any shapes you choose. Add sparkle to the pieces with Crayola Glitter Glue. Air-dry the glue.

  • 2.

With adult help, cut two pieces of very wide, clear adhesive tape such as library tape. Two pieces are easier to work with, but together they must be long enough to go around your head.

  • 3.

Spread the tape sections sticky side up (so the front of the crown is facing down). Sprinkle sequins and other sparkly decorations on top of tape.

  • 4.

Place the decorated paper sections along the tape with the colored sides facing down. Let some pieces stick out from the top edge of the tape to make the crown even higher.

  • 5.

Cut two more pieces of tape the same length as the decorated ones. With the help of an adult, line up the edges and sandwich in the decorations and sequins. Smooth out any air bubbles. Repeat this process for the second piece. Attach the two sections with more tape. Check the head size to make sure the crown fits before joining the ends.

  • 6.

Attach more shapes to the front of the crown with foam dots so they pop out. Decorate them with Glitter Glue. When the glue is dry, you’re ready to wear your beautiful crown!
