Swirly Model Magic® Snails

Swirly Model Magic® Snails craft

Snails are fascinating creatures. Shape several swirly shells with Crayola Model Magic®. They’re SO easy to make!

  • 1.

Have you watched snails early in the morning? Snails move primarily at night, when they feed on plants, mate with other snails, and lay their eggs. They have beautiful, spiral shells. Some are pointy, and some are more flat. They range in size from the size of a pinpoint to 15 inches (38 cm) for land snails.

To create your own pretend snails, combine different colors of Crayola Model Magic Naturals. Roll out a strand that is thick on one end and thin on the other. Starting with the thin end, create a spiral.

  • 3.

Roll out a thick snail body in a contrasting color. Attach the spiral shell to the body. Model Magic fresh from the pack sticks to itself! Add two tentacles and tiny beady eyes. Could this be the start of a science project?
