  In addition to natural learning experiences with math (measure, count, weigh, tell time, play with money) this activity may appeal to children who are especially captivated with addition.

  Along with this game, offer ways for children to use addition skills throughout the day. Make comments such as, ;We have 3 cups for juice. How many more do we need if we have four children at the table?;

  To make a die: Shape Crayola® Model Magic® into a 2-inch square. Dry 24 hours.

• 5.

  With Crayola® Washable Markers, draw dots on all six sides of the die. Use 1, 2, and 3 dots, or more.

• 6.

  To prepare a muffin tin: With Crayola® Scissors, cut six circles of construction paper to fit the bottom of muffin-tin cups. With markers, make 1, 2, and 3 dots, or more, on each circle.

• 7.

  To play: Toss the die into a muffin cup. Are there more dots in the cup or on the die? Or are they the same? Add the number on the die to the number on the cup. How many dots are there?
