Winter Holiday Pencil Toppers
Decorate your colored pencils for the winter holidays with fun Crayola Model Magic® Fusion™ toppers! They make great party favors and gift decorations, too.
1. What fun holiday pencil topper can you imagine? Choose a seasonal symbol such as a turkey, Santa, or dreidel. How about a Christmas tree or an angel? Craft a tiny gift package or shape an ogre. It’s up to you! Talk with classmates to find out about each other’s holiday traditions. How have the celebrations changed since your parents were your age?
2. For round toppers, roll out Crayola Model Magic® Fusion™ modeling material until it is smooth. Cover a small foam ball with the sheet. Trim any excess compound with modeling tools and shape into your design. On just shape Fusion™ modeling compound into any design you like, such as a little square for a gift box.
3. Use bits and "snakes" of Fusion™ to add details to your pencil topper. You can make new colors or marbled effects. Just blend two or three pieces together and knead until you achieve your desired color.
4. Press a Crayola Colored Pencil into the bottom of your topper. Model Magic Fusion™ dries to the touch overnight and dries completely in 2 to 3 days. It sticks to the colored pencil. Happy holidays!

- The use of modeling material to make items that look like food is discouraged for children younger than age 5 to avoid their confusion with real food.
- Unless sealed with a water-resistant glaze, do not make projects exposed to or immersed in water, such as boats or outdoor bird feeders. They would disintegrate when exposed to moisture.
- Crayola Dough—contains gluten (wheat flour) as an ingredient. Crayola Air-Dry Clay, Crayola Model Magic, and Model Magic Fusion are gluten-free. However, they are produced on the same machinery as Crayola Dough which does contain gluten. Although the machines are cleaned prior to the start of each production run, there is a slight possibility that trace amounts of gluten from Crayola Dough may be present in the other modeling compound products. Small Parts— WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD—Small parts. Not for children under 3 years.
Sponges and Foam—Sponges, foam, and other expandable materials should not be used with children 3 years old and younger.

- Students create a 3-D holiday sculpture, such as a gift or centerpiece, using knowledge of sculpting techniques and armatures.
