HOW TO MAKE
  1. With an adult, choose a large outdoor paved area that is clean, safe, and free from traffic.
  2. Decide how many holes your course will have. Use Sidewalk Chalk to draw a starting tee and a finish green for each hole. Holes should be far enough away from each other to keep the game interesting.
  3. Draw a giant scorecard where you can keep score.
  4. Each player chooses a different item to use as a disc, such as a plastic flying disk, stone, or bean bag.
HOW TO PLAY
  1. Players decide who will go first. One at a time, players stand at the starting tee and throw their discs toward the first hole.
  2. When all players have thrown, the player farthest from the hole begins the second round of tosses. The next farthest is next to go. Players count each throw they make.
  3. Play continues at the first hole until all players have landed on the green. Players record their scores on the scorecard and continue to the next hole. Winner is the player with the lowest score.
VARIATIONS
  • Create themed holes for more interest—they could be Wild West, sea creatures, or pirates, for example.
  • Larger groups can play as teams, each throwing their own discs.
  • Mark your course with a Crayola Rainbow Rake™, Sidewalk Paint Sprayer, or Super Brush™.
  • To create your own discs for the game, shape Crayola Model Magic® into discs. Air-dry overnight. Decorate with Crayola Markers. To keep the discs clean, make a glaze of equal parts Crayola No-Run School Glue and water. Cover one side of the discs with the glaze and a paint brush. Air-dry. Turn them over and cover the other side. Air-dry completely before you play the game.
  • To make bean bags, decorate several socks with colorful Fabric Markers. Color each one differently so players can tell them apart. Ask an adult to heat set the colors according to package instructions. Partially fill socks with aquarium gravel or pebbles. Tie ends of socks.
  • Paint stones in different colors for each player with Crayola Washable Kid’s Paint.
