- With an adult, choose a large outdoor paved area that is clean, safe, and free from traffic. Use your Sidewalk Paint Sprayer to define the playing area.
- Draw a "jail" large enough to hold several players and a safety area for players to rest.
- If you choose to decorate the plastic container, use Crayola Gel Markers, which write on almost any surface.
- Put a few rocks in the container (called a can). Screw on the lid. Place the can in the center of the playing area.

- One player is chosen as "seeker." The others scatter across the playing field. The seeker stands about 10 paces away from the can.
- Other players try to sneak up and kick the can before the seeker calls out their names. Several players can try to do this at once.
- If the seeker spots a player moving toward the can, the seeker calls out the name and counts out loud to three. Players caught by the seeker go to jail.
- If a player kicks the can before the seeker can say that person’s name and count to three, all players in jail are free. The game starts over with a different seeker.
