Give Diversity a Hand craft

The world's diverse people and customs make this a rich and interesting place. Teaching our children to appreciate each other enhances their experiences, and helps them contribute to a healthy and peaceful world.

    Think about the many different personalities of people you know. Often, our personalities are expressed in our hands. What do your hands say about you? What do you wear on them to express yourself?

    With Crayola® Erasable Colored Pencils, draw a variety of different hands on white paper. Trace around your fingers if you want to be realistic, and use Crayola Multicultural Crayons to match your skin color. Then design some other hands using your imagination. What would alien hands look like? What would they wear?

    Decorate these real and fantasy hands to show interesting differences and similarities.
