Colors spin, sparkle, and glide on air! See your Color Explosion™ creativity in motion on a flying machine you build yourself.
1.
Cut a sheet of Crayola Black Color Explosion™ Paper in half the long way to make two long rectangles. Use one rectangle to create each Twirling Copter.
2.
Fold the rectangle in half, bringing short sides together. Open the fold. Starting in the center of one short side of the rectangle, cut a straight line down the middle, ending at the fold line. Now you have two flaps on one half of the rectangle.
3.
On the other half of the rectangle, cut two 1-inch (2 cm) slits parallel to the fold line and 1 inch (2cm) from the fold line, one on each side. Fold the white sides in toward the center so that this half of the rectangle looks like a letter T with the fold line at the top. Glue the folded pieces to the center.
4.
Create wild multicolored effects on the black areas of your copter using the Black Color Explosion Marker. Use Crayola Washable Markers to add colorful designs on the white sides of your copter. Add dazzling details to your designs with Glitter Glue. Air-
5.
Fold the two long flaps in opposite directions so one is folded over on one side of the T and the other is folded to the other side. Hold the flaps down alongside the T and toss the Twirling Copter straight up in the air. The flap will twirl as your copter spins toward Earth.
6.
For more fun, make several different Twirling Copters. Add weights such as paper clips. Invent games for points and distance. The sky’s the limit with these flying machines!
