Elephant Pop Up

Pop-up cards bring stories and poetry to life! Even elephants jump out of these cards.

Steps:

1

1 Read Elephant in Trouble or another story or poem about an elephant.

2

2 Fold white paper in half to make a card. On the front, write the title of your story or poem with Crayola® Colored Pencils. Draw a picture to show what it was about.

3

3 On another paper, draw an elephant or other outstanding character. Cut out the character.

4

4 Cut out a strip of paper about as big as your finger, and fold it like an accordion. Use Crayola Glue Sticks to attach one end of the folded paper inside your card. Glue the other end to the back of the cut-out figure. When you open the card, your elephant will pop-up.

5

5 Write a message inside your card with Crayola Crayons.
