Brainstorm with Mom different headings for the pictures you want to draw for your newspaper. Mom will type the headings on a computer and print out the headings on newsprint paper. TIP: You may have to cut the newsprint paper to fit into your printer. If you don’t have access to a computer, simply print the headings on the newsprint paper.

  • 3.

Cut out the heading with the name of your local newspaper from a recycled newspaper.

  • 4.

Cut out various size squares and rectangles of newsprint paper to draw pictures for each of your headings. Use Crayola Colored Pencils and Power Lines Washable Markers with Scents to color your drawings.

  • 5.

Working together with Mom, lay out all of the headings and pictures on the background piece of newsprint paper. When you like the layout, glue it in place with a Crayola Glue Stick. Place your finished faux front page in the frame.
