Cover your art area with newspaper. Paint two large pieces of paper with contrasting colors of Crayola® Washable Kid's Paint and Paint Brushes. You might want to use the graduate's school colors, for example. Paint at least three small pieces of paper (for balloons) using contrasting paint colors. Dry.
Choose one of the large sheets to form your banner. Use Crayola Erasable Colored Pencils to draw a large mortar board on the other large sheet. Cut it out with Crayola Scissors. Attach the mortar board to the banner with Crayola School Glue. For a contemporary effect, part of it could fall outside the banner's edge.
Draw balloons on the small painted paper. Cut them out and glue them to your banner. Cut confetti and squiggles out of your paper scraps. Glue them on.
Use your imagination to accentuate the design your banner. You could add a tassel made from yarn or thread to a mortar board. Tie colorful yarn or ribbon streamers to balloons. Write phrases such as GOOD LUCK, CLASS OF ????, GO FOR IT, or the graduate's n
