Valentine’s don’t need to be flat hearts that lay there on the table. Give yours a little more "wow" with bright Crayola Color Explosion colors!
1.
Choose whether you would like to create a Valentine using Crayola Color Explosion Black or White.
2.
Fold a piece of Crayola Color Explosion Paper in half, bringing short sides together. (The words "Crayola Color Explosion" should be showing on the outside of the folded paper.)
3.
Hold the folded paper so the fold is to the left. Lift the bottom left corner and fold it so that the corner is pointed slightly up and over about 2 inches.
4.
Crease and unfold it to make a triangular flap.
5.
Cut a half heart. Start from the top at the fold and cut around and back down to the flap fold. Do not cut the flap fold! Now cut back along the bottom edge to complete your heart – again, be careful not to cut the flap fold. Save your scraps for later.
6.
Now unfold your paper. Grab the flap and bring the two heart parts together. You can glue the inside of the flap or use a stapler or tape it to the back. The flap becomes the stand that holds your Valentine upright.
7.
Open the bottom corners to balance your Valentine when you stand it up.
8.
Have fun adding creative designs to your Valentine. Use a Crayola Color Explosion Marker to add a message and colorful decorations.
9.
Use the leftover pieces to make an arrowhead and an arrow tail. Attach them to the front of the Valentine with a glue stick to make it look as though the arrow is going through the heart.
