Paint some spring tulips with an unusual tool – a plastic fork! Pick your own unique color palette to create an original spring masterpiece.
1.
Let’s get started! Cover your work area with recycled newspaper and put on an art smock to protect your clothes.
2.
Select a background color for your painting. Will you paint a gorgeous green, a sunshiny yellow or a pretty purple backdrop? Maybe today you are feeling like a blue sky. Pour some paint on a paper plate. Use a paint brush to apply the color to the canvas. Allow the paint to air dry.
3.
Mix it up! How many colors will you use to make your tulips? Pour some paint of each color you want to use on a paper plate right next to each other. Using a plastic fork, gently swirl the colors together.
4.
Once you have mixed the colors together, dip the back side of the top of the plastic fork into the paint. Remember, you only need to add paint to the part of the fork you eat with, not the handle! Gently press the paint covered part of the fork onto the canvas. Rock the fork back and forth a little to make sure you get a full tulip “print”.
5.
Repeat the step above until you have created as many blooms as you would like! Use a paint brush to add leaves, stems, grass or any other details to the painting. Allow the paint to air dry.
6.
Add some sparkle! Use Glitter Markers to embellish the flowers and stems. Your tulip garden looks terrific!
