Hold up a picture of an animal and ask the class to brainstorm a list of adjectives that describe the pictured animal. When finished with the animal attributes, write a list of adjectives describing the animal’s habitat on a classroom white board using Crayola® Dry-Erase Crayons.
-
Students choose a favorite animal and draw an outline of the animal in its native habitat with Crayola Dry-Erase Crayons. Dry-erase crayons work well on white boards and other smooth surfaces like photo paper, transparency sheets, or paper covered with clear packaging tape.
-
Write descriptive adjectives inside the outline of the drawn animal and around the habitat. If they make a mistake or change their minds, simply erase and start again!
