  • Water

Steps

  • Step 1

Color your stingrays. Cover your craft area with newspaper. Tear a coffee filter into thirds (or have an adult cut it). On each piece, design a stingray with Crayola® Washable Markers. Dampen the coffee filters by either spraying or sprinkling them with water. The washable marker colors will spread to create a tie-dyed look. Air-dry your stingrays.

  • Step 2

Draw the ocean. On white paper, use your imagination to draw a bold underwater scene. Leave space for your stingrays to swim. When the coffee filters are dry, accordion-fold the stingrays and then open them. Use a Crayola Glue Stick on the outer corners of each stingray to glue them into your underwater scene.

  • Step 3

Share the fun! Add eyes and a squiggly tail to each stingray. Show your friends how to make these cool creatures.
