As a child, my mother usually would not buy the big pack of crayons with the gold in it. So everytime I got a gold crayon, I would hold on to it and use it sparingly just so it would last longer. I always colored Santa Claus' belt buckle with the gold crayon. The picture just wasn't complete until that buckle was a shiny gold! And I didn't color it just once - I had to really layer it on, going over it at least three times! The buckle really stood out on every page that Santa was on! And nothing "feels" like gold when you are coloring - it's so thick and rich-feeling! I also liked the Gold color because it is shinny. I'd draw myself, standing on a podium, with a big shinny Gold medail around my neck. Boy, was I proud of myself!
