Why

Let your creativity take flight! Use Crayola Color Explosion Spinner™ art to make several flying fishy friends for a puppet show.

Steps

  1. 1. Decorate several Crayola Color Explosion Spinner™ papers with the solution! Start by making a dot on the paper with a color-reveal marker. Then just follow the directions in the box.
  2. 2. Use the color-reveal markers to draw your fish puppets on several of the decorated papers. Cut them out with Crayola Scissors. Decorate each puppet with more pieces of Spinner paper to add eyes, fins, and a mouth.
  3. 3. Glue a craft stick or dowel stick on the back of each puppet with Crayola School Glue. Air-dry the handles.
  4. 4. You’re ready for ocean adventures with your new aquatic actors!

When & Where

"The kids invited the neighbors over. Together, they spun a whole school of flying fish!"
- Peggy A., ages 6 and 9.

"Our girls created mermaid puppets. They spent hours crafting a stage for them, too."
- Kara R., mother of ages 8 and 10.

Interesting Info

Flying fishes do not actually fly. They glide on top of the water on their outstretched fins. They can soar an impressive distance of up to 1/4 mile (0.4 km).
