Every day is Earth Day when children remind us to celebrate and protect our home sweet home.
"Students sent Earth Day cards to lawmakers urging them to protect the environment. Civics, science, and art rolled into one."
- Mick T., PTA member.
"We studied ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Kids featured one or two ideas on their cards."
- Jermal K., after-school club mentor.
The first Earth Day was celebrated April 22, 1970. U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson from Wisconsin created the worldwide event to draw attention to environmental issues.
