Ultra Clean and Washable Crayons on Washable Fabrics- Heat-Set Stains (Melted)

Scrape off as much crayon as possible.  Apply liquid dish soap and work into the stained area.  Let stand a few minutes, rub fabric under warm water to remove the  stain.  Machine wash using the heavy soil setting and the hottest water the fabric will allow with OxiClean or Clorox 2.  Allow to air dry.  Repeat as needed.

    Dull Knife or Metal Spoon
    Liquid Dish Soap
    Small Stiff Bristle Brush
    Sponge
    Warm Water

    Scrape excess crayon off with a dull-edge knife or metal spoon. Spray or dampen with warm water and apply liquid dish soap on the stained area, work in with the brush and wipe stain away with a damp sponge. If stain remains, repeat the procedure.

    Add liquid dish soap to water. Wash the stain in a circular motion using a soft cloth or sponge and rinse. If stain remains, repeat the procedure. Fresh marks are most easily removed. Residual stains on white walls and more durable surfaces may be removed with Soft Scrub, toothpaste or a mild abrasive cleanser. Apply cleanser with a soft cloth or sponge. Work the stain for sevral minutes. Rinse with water. Repeat if necessary.

    Machine wash with laundry detergent in a normal hot wash cycle with warm rinse settings. Allow to air dry. If any stain remains, repeat as needed.

    Chlorine Bleach

    Fill washing machine with as much hot water as possible for the fabric (check manufacturer’s care label). Dissolve laundry detergent. Wash fabric on heavy soiled cycle (12 minutes). Remove fabric and air dry. If stain remains, repeat procedure. Oxi Clean powder detergent may be used for extra cleaning power. Follow directions on container. If garment is white, chlorine bleach may be used
