Washable Paint Sticks on Tile and Grouting

Mix liquid dish soap and water to dampen a paper towel.  Wipe over the stained area. Rinse. 

Repeat as needed.

  • Cleaning Materials
    Liquid Dish Soap
    Paper Towels
    Soft Cloth
    Soft Scrub Mild Abrasive Cleanser
    Warm Water

    Wipe the stain with dry paper towels or a soft cloth. If any stain remains, use liquid dish soap in warm water, wipe the stain and rinse. SPECIAL NOTE--To remove stain from rough tile, use Soft Scrub according to the directions on the container.

    Mix liquid dish soap with water to spray on the stained area. Use pressurized water from the hose to rinse.  If stain persists, reapply soapy water and work the area with a scrub brush. Rinse. Repeat as needed.

    Sponge

    Dampen a sponge with water and liquid dish soap, blot up as much of the stain as possible. Turn the sponge as it absorbs the stain. Use a carpet cleaner per the manufacturer’s direction. Repeat as needed.

    Work the stain from the outer edges toward the center, confining the stain.

    Upholstery/Rug Shampoo

    Dampen a sponge with alcohol and use a blotting motion to absorb the washable watercolor stain, changing the sponge as often as needed. Apply upholstery/rug shampoo according to the directions on the container. If stain remains, use Capture spot and soil remover according to the directions on the container.
