Mother's Day Thumbprint Ornament
A Mother's Day ornament that has your prints all over it! Give her a thumbprint ornament and she'll treasure the DIY Mother's Day gift forever.
Supplies:
- Crayola Air Dry Clay
- Crayola Paint Brush
- Rolling Pin
- Straw
- Crayola Washable Paint
- Wax Paper
- Cookie Cutter
- Twine
- Tools: Air Dry Clay, Paint
- Theme: Mother's Day, Spring
- Age: 4+, 6+, 8+, Tween+
Steps:
1 On piece of wax paper, roll out medium-size air dry clay ball so its 1/2" thick.
2 Press cookie cutter into clay to create ornament.
3 Use straw to make a hole close to top of ornament.
4 Firmly press thumb into middle of ornament twice to create heart shape. Dry overnight.
5 Cover ornament and heart with paint. Dry 1–2 hours. Add second coat. Dry 1–2 hours.
6 Feed twine through hole, tie ends into a knot, and give to mom!
