Is the Winfield, Kansas plant still operating and offering tours?

The Winfield facility originally opened in 1952 and offered tours until 1992. The plant closed in 1997. Crayola has called Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, its home since the early 1900s. Today, the company’s world headquarters, and major manufacturing facilities are located there.

Although we no longer offer tours of our manufacturing facilities, the company opened its first Crayola Experience in 1996 in downtown Easton, PA, where children of all ages are encouraged to play, explore, and learn. Crayola Experience is the only place in the world where the magic of Crayola comes to life. Explore fun exhibits, make crafts, and even test new products. Everyone is encouraged to let their creativity run free and color outside the lines at Crayola Experience!

You can visit a Crayola Experience location in Easton, PA; Orlando, FL; Minneapolis, MN; Plano, TX; and Chandler, AZ. Start planning your trip by clicking, here! We can also bring our magical world of color to you with video-guided, interactive activities in the Crayola Home Adventure Kits.
