The plant in Winfield, Kansas was closed at the end of 1997. The Winfield facility originally opened in 1952 and offered tours as late as 1992. Today, Crayola maintains one manufacturing facility for both the U.S. and Canada. Several factories are throughout the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania.
Although we no longer offer tours, the company opened its first Crayola Experience in 1996 in downtown Easton, PA, where children of all ages are encouraged to play, explore, and learn.
Crayola Experience is the only place in the world where the magic of Crayola comes to life- where visitors can see crayons and markers being made, explore fun exhibits, make crafts, and even test new products. Everyone is encouraged to let their creativity run free and color outside the lines at Crayola Experience!
You can visit a Crayola Experience location in Easton, PA; Orlando, FL; Minneapolis, MN; and Plano, TX (coming Spring 2018).
