What is the Story Creator and how does it work?
The Story Creator allows you to bring your drawings to life by recording audio directly onto different areas of your artwork. Each spot you press, and record becomes an interactive part of your story that can be played back at any time.
How many stories can I create?
You can create up to three story pages using the page selector. Each page can include multiple recorded spots.
How much recording time is available?
- You have approximately 15 minutes of total recording time across all pages
- Each individual recording location can store up to 30 seconds of audio
If the total time is used up, you will need to erase recordings before adding new ones.
How do you turn on the Story Creator and adjust the volume?
The Story Creator uses a single side switch to control both power and volume levels.
To turn on the Story Creator:
- Slide the yellow side switch from the OFF position to turn the unit on
Understanding the 3 switch positions:
- Position 1: OFF

The new recording will automatically replace the previous one.
How do I delete a single recording?
- Press the green Playback button to enter playback mode

You can then re-record in that location or leave it blank.

- Set the page selector to the page you want to erase
- Press and hold the red Record and orange Play-All buttons at the same time
- Hold until you hear the delete sound
Repeat for any additional pages you want to clear.
Can I record multiple sounds on one page?
Yes. You can record as many locations on your artwork as you like, as long as there is available recording time.
How do I know if recording has started?
You will hear a beep and see the indicator light activate. This confirms that recording has begun.
Why did my recording stop early?
Recording may stop if steady pressure is not maintained while speaking. Be sure to press firmly and consistently on the recording spot.
What happens when I run out of recording time?
If the recording time limit has been reached, you will hear a warning sound when trying to record. To continue, you will need to erase some existing recordings or clear a page.
Will my recordings be lost if I remove the batteries?
No. Your recordings are saved and will remain even if the batteries are removed.
Tips for best performance
- Do not cover the microphone while recording
- Apply steady, consistent pressure when recording
- Mark recorded spots on your artwork with a small dot or symbol so you can easily find and play them later
- Avoid resting your hand on the surface while recording, as this may interrupt recording
