Having dreams and setting goals helps students with self-awareness and intentional decision making. Ask students how this also helps motivate them and can help increase self-confidence. Have students talk about some of their interests and what they dream of for the future. Ask students to pick two or three of their goals to feature on a dream cloud.

Have students cut out a few cloud shapes and write a dream or goal on each one. They can glue them onto another piece of paper and decorate it - perhaps with a sky theme or anything else they choose.

Have students present their dream clouds to the class and talk about ways they can achieve these goals. Then display them on a bulletin board.

Encourage a discussion about goals students have for the greater community and the world. Have them think about ways they can contribute to the achievement of these goals.
Have students read Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech and discuss his life and how he tried to make this dream come true.
