Modeling Clay on Upholstery

Scrape off as much clay as possible. Use ice cubes to chill the clay making it easier to scrape away.  Saturate a cotton ball with nail polish remover and blot the stained area. Repeat as needed.  Rubbing alcohol is a good substitute for nail polish remover.

  • Cleaning Materials
    Dull Knife or Metal Spoon
    Carpet Cleaner Spot Shot or Oxiclean Based Cleaning Product Preferred

    Scrape off as much clay as possible. Vacuum the area.  If stain persists, use a carpet cleaning product per the manufacturer's direction.  Repeat as needed.

    Scrape or brush off excess dry or wet clay with a plastic paint scraper or soft bristle brush. Spray area with water and continue to wipe clean with paper towels. If stain or white residue remains, repeat procedure.

    Liquid Dish Soap Preferred Dawn or Joy
    All Purpose Cleaner Windex or Formula 409

    Scrape off as much clay as possible.  Spray the area with All Purpose cleaner and wipe with paper towels.  Remove any remaining residue with a sponge dampened with warm water and liquid dish soap.  Rinse with water.  Repeat as needed.



    FOR STAINLESS STEEL APPLIANCES - Use any stainless steel cleaning product per the manufacturer’s direction. Repeat as needed.

    Liquid Dish Soap Preferred Dawn or Joy
    Small Stiff Bristle Brush
    Sponge

    Allow No-Bake Sculpting Clay to dry overnight. Scrape off excess clay with a dull-edge knife or metal spoon. With a small, still bristle brush, work the stained area with a mixture of liquid dish detergent and water. Wipe stain away with a damp sponge. If stain remains, repeat the procedure. If stain persists, use Resolve carpet cleaner according to the directions on the container.

    Liquid Dish Soap Preferred Dawn or Joy

    Scrape off as much clay as possible.  Use ice cubes to chill the clay making it easier to scrape away.  Saturate a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol and blot the stained area.  If stain persists, rub liquid dish soap into the stain and wash as normal.  Repeat as needed.
