Signature Watercolor Crayons on Stainless Steel

1. Using a colorfast cloth or sponge, apply dish soap and warm water to the crayon marks. Continue wiping until no more color can be removed.
2. If stain remains, use a stainless steel cleaner according to packaging directions.

  • Cleaning Materials
    Soft Scrub or Zud Cleanser

    Use according to directions on packaging. Repeat as necessary until stain is removed.

    Brush and rinse as much of the watercolor from the surface as possible. Apply Soft Scrub with a damp sponge and rub in a circular motion toward the center of the stain, rinse and dry. If any stain remains, apply nail polish remover to a cotton ball, blot stain and rinse. Repeat if necessary. Special Precautions:Do not use nail polish remover near an open flame.

    Mean Green
    409 Cleaner

    1. Use a soft cloth with stainless steel cleaner according to directions on container.

    2. If the stain persists, use a soft cloth and a Degreaser, such as Mean Green or 409, according to the directions on the package.

    3. If the stain remains, spray cooking oil, such as PAM on the affected area. Let it soak for 5 minutes, and then rinse with soap and water using a soft cloth. Murphy's oil soap can also be used during this step according to the packaging directions.

    Use according to the directions on the container. Repeat as necessary until stain is removed.

    Soft Scrub Mild Abrasive Cleanser
    Sponge

    Wipe all stains with a damp sponge. If any stain remains, apply Soft Scrub with a damp sponge, work in a circular motion and rinse. If stain remains, saturate a cotton ball with alcohol and blot the stain and rinse.
