Crayon Shadow Box
March 31st is National Crayon Day! Celebrate this creative holiday with Crayola’s special Shadowbox Craft, using Crayola Super Tips Markers, Crayola Scissors, and of course, Crayola Crayons!
Supplies:
- Crayola Super Tips Markers
- Crayola Glue Stick
- Cardboard
- Bowl
- Water
- Crayola Scissors
- Crayola Crayons
- Shadow Box
- Hair Dryer
- Silicone Letter Mold
Steps:
1 In a bowl of warm water, place a variety of crayons and let it soak.
2 Remove the wrappers from the crayons, in one piece, set aside, and let dry.
3 Take crayons and break them into the letter mold, then melt them with a hairdryer or in the oven.
4 When crayons are done melting, let it harden in the mold, then remove.
5 Cut dry Crayon wrappers into cookies, cakes, cupcakes, and candies shapes. Then, decorate with Crayola markers.
6 Cut cardboard pieces and glue behind each crayon wrapper candy shapes to lift it up higher.
7 Glue background shapes to the back of the shadow box, add in the melted crayon letter, and then add crayon wrapper shapes to the foreground. Secure the frame and hang it wherever you like!
