Supplies Needed

Gather all the supplies needed to bring your craft ideas to life! From paints and markers to glue and scissors, our crafts section has everything to spark creativity and make every project truly special.

  • Paint Brushes
  • Burlap
  • Chenille Stems
  • Coffee Filter(s)
  • Decorative Leaves
  • Foam Wreath
  • Glass Jar
  • Paper Towels
  • Tape
  • Water

Steps

  • Step 1

    To make wicked flower, use markers to color coffee filter.

  • Step 2

    Fold coffee filter in half 3 times to create triangle shape.

  • Step 3

    Place folded coffee filter, tip down, in small amount of water. Let water wick through filter.

  • Step 4

    Place wet coffee filter on paper towels. Dry 1–2 hours.

  • Step 5

    To make tie dye flower, place coffee filter on top of paper towels, color with markers, then paint over with water. Dry 1–2 hours.

  • Step 6

    For both flower types, trim colored paper towels to same width as colored coffee filters.

  • Step 7

    Place paper towel on top of filter. Fold in half twice. Twist bottom to make flower shape.

  • Step 8

    Wrap end of flower with chenille stem.

  • Step 9

    Wrap wreath with burlap and tape to secure ends.

  • Step 10

    Wrap chenille stem around wreath, then around the base of flower to secure.

  • Step 11

    Create and secure enough flowers to fill half of wreath.

  • Step 12

    Add decorative leaves to accent before giving to mom!

  • Mix and match different colored paper towel and colored coffee filters to get a variety of exciting flower designs.

  • If a flower feels too loose, use a small piece of tape or a small amount of glue to hold it in place.

  • Experiment using other fabrics or yarn to wrap your wreath.

  • In lieu of a wreath, create a bouquet using the DIY flowers and chenille stems.
