- Crayola Acrylic Paint
- Crayola Chalk
- Measuring Spoons
- Water
- Wood Plaque
- Crayola Paint Brush
- Mixing Bowls
- Baking Soda
- Craft Stick
Steps:

1 In mixing bowl, combine 2 Tbsp baking soda and 1 Tbsp water with craft stick, creating a paste.

2 Pour 2 oz paint into separate mixing bowl. Add baking soda mixture to paint and stir until smooth.

3 Cover wood plaque with paint mixture. Dry 1–2 hours. Add second coat. Dry 1–2 hours.

4 Write message on plaque with chalk!
CIY Staff Tips:
- To erase, dab plaque with a damp paper towel. Let dry completely before writing a new message.
- Chalkboards don’t need to be black! Experiment with different colors of acrylic paint using the same chalkboard paint recipe.
