Gather all the supplies needed to bring your craft ideas to life! ...

  • Crayons
  • Glitter Glue
  • Clothespin(s)
  • Crayon Sharpener
  • Hair Dryer
  • Hole Punch
  • String
  • Tape
  • Wax Paper
  • Wooden Dowel

Steps

  • Step 1

    Unwrap the crayons you want to use to make your raindrops. Experiment with shades of pink and red!

  • Step 2

    Sharpen crayons into small shavings using a pencil sharpener.

  • Step 3

    Protect your surface. Then, sprinkle the shavings onto a piece of wax paper. Be sure to blend the colored shavings!

  • Step 4

    Place another piece of wax paper over the top of your crayon shavings. Tape down the edges. Make sure to remove as many air bubbles as possible.

  • Step 5

    With adult supervision, use a hair dryer to melt the shavings until they form a colorful melted surface.

  • Step 6

    Wait for your melted crayons to cool before cutting heart shapes into your melted crayon and wax paper. Accent with Glitter Glue.

  • Step 7

    Use a hole punch to create the hole for the string.
