Gather all the supplies needed to bring your craft ideas to life! ...

  • Air Dry Clay
  • Sticks
  • String

Steps

  • Step 1

    Cut several pieces of string to your desired lengths. For a layered look, make each piece a different length.

  • Step 2

    Take a small ball of Crayola Model Magic and gently flatten it in the center.

  • Step 3

    Place one end of a string onto the flattened Model Magic.

  • Step 4

    Fold the Model Magic around the string and shape it into a Halloween design, such as a ghost, pumpkin, or another spooky creation.

  • Step 5

    Repeat the process to create additional Halloween shapes on the remaining strings.

  • Step 6

    To make the broomstick, wrap Model Magic around one end of a small stick and shape it into broom bristles. Add additional pieces to create a fuller, textured look.

  • Step 7

    Allow your Model Magic creations to dry overnight. 

  • Step 8

    Once dry, decorate each shape using Crayola Acrylic Paint, Paint Brushes, and Crayola Super Tips or Markers of your choice. Let dry completely.

  • Step 9

    Attach the decorated Halloween shapes to the broomstick handle by tying or securing the strings to a stick.

  • Step 10

    Tie a larger piece of string to both ends of the stick with your creations attached to create a hanging loop.

  • Step 11

    Display your finished DIY Door Hanger on a door, wall, or other festive Halloween display area.
