Supplies Needed

Gather all the supplies needed to bring your craft ideas to life! ...

Paint
Paint Brushes
Cookie Cutter(s)
Rolling Pin
Straw(s)
Twine
Wax Paper

Steps

Step 1

On piece of wax paper, roll out medium-size air dry clay ball so its 1/2" thick.
Step 2

Press cookie cutter into clay to create ornament.
Step 3

Use straw to make a hole close to top of ornament.
Step 4

Firmly press thumb into middle of ornament twice to create heart shape. Dry overnight.
Step 5

Cover ornament and heart with paint. Dry 1–2 hours. Add second coat. Dry 1–2 hours.
Step 6

Feed twine through hole, tie ends into a knot, and give to mom!

We used a heart-shaped cookie cutter, but your ornament can be any shape you’d like!
Use Crayola Take Note Permanent Markers or Crayola Glitter Glue to add personal messages or embellishments to your ornament.
