Steps

  • Step 1

Paint a Mott's Apple Juice box with Crayola Acrylic Paint to create the rover's body.

  • Step 2

Glue 3 cut down jumbo craft sticks to each side of the rover at different angles with a hot glue gun. Adult assistance is required.

  • Step 3

Paint 6 empty Mott's Applesauce cups with Crayola Acrylic Paints as the rover wheels.

  • Step 4

Mold discs with Model Magic to fit the bottom of the applesauce cups and glue inside each.

  • Step 5

Push a Mott's Applesauce pouch lid into the Model Magic, in the middle of each applesauce cup.

  • Step 6

Then, glue the back of the rover wheels to the front of each of the sticks with a hot glue gun. Adult assistance required.

  • Step 7

Cut 2 rectangles from another Mott's Apple juice box and add details with Crayola Signature Metallic Markers on the shiny side to mimic solar panels. Then, glue both on the top of the rover body with about half hanging off the edge.

  • Step 8

Cut down a straw from the apple juice box and place it in front of the rover's body.

  • Step 9

Create a satellite dish from the Mott's Applesauce cup foil lid by cutting out a circle with a long rectangular flap at the bottom.

  • Step 10

Add details with Crayola Signature Metallic Markers and glue to the back/top of the rover body.

  • Step 11

With Crayola Model Magic, mold the rover head and head base. Connect the two with a small craft stick and let dry.

  • Step 12

Cut out eyes from left over Mott's Apple Juice box pieces and glue to the front of the rover head.

  • Step 13

Glue completed rover head to the front/top of the rover body.

  • Step 14

Cut out a Mott's logo from a Mott's Applesauce foil lid and glue to the back of the rover.
