Many Crayola products do not state age recommendations on packaging because the age when a child is ready to begin using art products varies from child to child. Some children are ready to use art products at a very early age, while others may not show an interest until later. Crayola offers a range of art supplies and creative activities designed specifically for children ages 12 – 36 months. Learn more here about the right tools for toddlers and preschoolers to express, create and connect with color!

We do not recommend the use of traditional Crayola art products for intentional direct skin contact. Products designed for face and skin painting require specific testing and approval for this purpose.
However, we think you will love the Crayola Face & Body Crayons! These non-toxic crayons allow you to color right on your skin. They clean easily off the skin with soap and water. Check for them at a major retail store near you.

It is difficult to provide an exact shelf life for Crayola products because it depends on how and where they have been stored. Our products are generally tested on the basis of how they are used, rather than how long they have remained unused. We stand behind the Crayola brand name and will work to take care of any quality issue you may encounter.
