Dandelion has made its return to Crayola’s crayon assortments!
Where can Dandelion be found?
Dandelion can now be found in Crayola’s standard 24ct and 64ct crayon boxes.
What color did Dandelion replace in the 24ct and 64ct crayon boxes?
- 24ct Standard Crayon 52-3024: Dandelion replaced Bluetiful.
- 64ct Standard Crayon 52-0064: Dandelion replaced Indigo for now. BOTH Dandelion and Bluetiful are in the 64ct box.
- 32ct and 48ct Standard Crayons do NOT contain Dandelion but DO contain Bluetiful.
- Crayola does not have a Dandelion or Bluetiful Ultra-Clean Washable Crayon.
Why did Dandelion replace Bluetiful instead of Indigo in the 24ct box?
The 24ct box is the most popular back-to-school list item because of its educational value - it contains what is widely considered the essential base set of colors including primary and secondary colors, and the rainbow spectrum - ROYGBIV. It was important to include Dandelion in the 24ct crayon box to support educators who over the years have told us that they needed that “real yellow” back to teach art. Since Indigo is part of the rainbow spectrum and there were several blues in the 24ct box, we decided to replace Bluetiful to make room for Dandelion.
Where can Bluetiful be found?
Bluetiful can be found in the standard 32ct, 48ct and 64ct crayon boxes.
